Abstract A copy of a 31 page report to the Board of Selectmen regarding the proposed legislation to establish the M.U.S.T. Committee (Marblehead Unique Seaport Trust). The proposal creates the M.U.S.T. to be administered by a Board of Trustees appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The purpose, as decided by the last Town Meeting, is to preserve and promote historical, commercial and recreational maritime activities and facilities in Marblehead. The need for affordable housing in Marblehead has become a big issue and the proposed legislation dedicates 1/4 of the funds collected as transfer fees to an Affordable Housing Fund.
