Abstract Marblehead Junior High Archives Historical Building Survey

Seven High Street is situated where many fisherman lived. Its original owner was Samuel Bowden who built this Colonial style home. It was once called "Idlers Hill". In 1752 a windmill was situated on Idlers Hill. It was called "Ye Old Wind Mill" so then High Street was called Windmill Hill. The windmill was torn down in 1759. High Street was called many names.
