Abstract Marblehead Junior High Archives Historical Building Survey

The original owner of 5 Lookout Court was Peter Dixey. It was located in the old section of town where everyone would meet in the court to watch the ships come in. Capt. Dixey signaled to 21 Lee Street with rags to tell them that the ships had arrived. The view is one of the best in town. Beautiful gardens are everywhere. The court used to be called Prospect Alley in Colonial times but was changed because all the people went there to look out at the harbor. Interesting report called Tales and Stories on page 5 in the Electives Folder.

The door was used in a movie called "Heart of a Hero" in 1922.
