| Abstract |
Marblehead Junior High Archives Historical Building Survey
The Lookout was used by custom officials between 1745 and 1846. Jeremiah Lee owned the house between 1784 and 1785. After Lee, Samuel Sewall, a Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Court lived there. Waldo Ballard, who lived in the Lookout, restored many old Marblehead homes. After Ballard, Rouland moved in. He was a portrait painter.
The Written House History (page 29, red folder) and two Biographical Sketches (page 1, black folder) are very informative. |
