Marblehead Jr. High Archives Historical Building Survey
Over 200 years old, part of Richard Rowland Hill, this house may have been a part of the Richard Rowland Estate. Rowland lived there as early as 1648 and owned a total of 40 acres. He died in 1685 leaving his estate to his son, John Rowland.
See Written House History on page 22 regarding the question as to whether this house was part of the Richard Rowland Estate in later years or not. |
