| Abstract |
Marblehead Jr. High Archives Historical Building Survey
The surrounding area of this home on Waterside Road has always been a cemetery. (Waterside Cemetery). Joseph Looney lived in the house as an heir to Benjamen Hawkes (the original owner). However, a brother James Looney owned the house at this time.
The researchers did an interesting piece on the History of The Looney Farm on page 38. One of the creators (Dede Weston) lived in this home with her parents and her brother and therefore had first-hand knowledge of the history of this lovely home. See the Antique Study section and the Historical Object Study in the red Elective Folder. |
