A copy of a booklet containing a reprint of an article in the United States Naval Institute Proceedings of December, 1926 by Captain Thomas g. Frothingham, U.S.R. titled "The Service of Marblehead to the United States Navy" Includes with the booklet are three news clippings: 1. Salem News Oct. 21, 1946 "Beverly Not Only Birthplace of Navy But Also America's First Navy Yard"
2.Salem News April 1948 "Navy's 150th Anniversary Tomorrow"
3.Columbia (Published by Knights of Columbus) "Barry, Father of the American Navy" written by Thomas F. Meehan (clipping in two parts) |
