The Cover has a drawing of a cook sitting on a deck cleat, cursing and a turkey with several broken knives and hatchets on the deck.

Page 1)This page contains The Masthead, (a newspaper term for info on the publisher, editors etc.) It also contains the Thanksgiving Story and a menu for Thanksgiving dinner.

Page 2) This page notes the arrival of Lt. (jg) T. A. Hilgor for duty and a description of the his travels to get to the ship. A short paragraph of goodby to shipmate Machinist Robbins (a warrant officer), the ship's previous week's schedule written in misspelled words, and the Asiatic Fleet Athletic Bulletin No. 15-39 of 30 October 1939.

Page 3) This page has a poem "Troth of Ages" by V.C.D, A suggestion that the crew could start a band, the results of the softball semi-finals and the results of the finals with the Third Division ending as champs of the Marblehead.
