| Description |
A B&W photo of the Tucker House, built in 1640 - the photo is circa 1905 (the photo is a Rotograph postcard). It is now a lot between 62 and 64 Front Street - which is between Darling and State Streets. On the front of the photo is printed: "Old Tucker House (built 1640), Marblehead, Mass." On the back of the photo is written: "Across Driftwood (restaurant) Lot between 62 + 64". There is also an indication from Thomas Gray's book, "The Founding of Marblehead", page 166, that the building was originally located at 146 Front Street, which is also a lot, between Selman and Franklin Streets. See 1961-002-03673. |
