The Cover is on green paper and has a drawing of a sailor looking at a thermometer over 100 degrees and comparing it with the weather in Shanghai. The back of the cover is a cartoon about sailors getting short haircuts. Page 1)This page contains The Masthead, (a newspaper term for info on the publisher, editors etc.) and contains a page of information on the Philippines Page 2) This page contains a short article about going away by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, another article about the drinks for women in Manila called d"Pinkys" and a note about where most sailors in the Navy come from. Page 3) This page contains a description of the gymnasium on the USS Saratoga, the new point requirements for honorable discharge and recommendation for reenlistment and the results of the basketball tournament. Two blank pages Page 4) This page has the note that Orr, SM 2c the captain of the baseball team was transfered to the USS Henderson and they are looking for more players, the statistics of the cost of the latest ship's party and ship's gossip. Page 5) has a cartoon about a sailor with problems with two women drawn by Owen.
